Established in 1988, the Gringo’s M.C. began in the town of Terhagen, Belgium. There is no long story, movie or anything extraordinary about how this came to be. It’s simple, love of motorcycles, riding and brotherhood. What is extraordinary are the men in this MC and the families that support them.
The Gringo’s M.C. prioritizes life in the following; families, jobs, and club. To be successful in providing for your family, your job, supporting the club and your brothers, it’s important that you succeed in all areas. We pride ourselves in supporting each other in achieving this.
What is a Gringo?
Contrary to popular stereotype, a Gringo is not white guy in Mexico. The word “gringo” means foreigner, regardless of race, ethnicity, etc. In other words, If you’re a citizen of country “A” and travel outside its’ borders, you’re a gringo anywhere and everywhere you go. Don’t believe it? look it up. This is why we adopt the moniker of “Stranger in a Strange Land ”, a foreigner, one who is not common to a single place, one who is a stranger. We apply this concept in ideology, we are not like and don’t think like everyone else.
How does one become a Gringo?
Simple, get to know us, and we get to know you. We will both learn if this is the right thing for you. We do not force ourselves on anyone and we always welcome those who just want to ride. We are outlaws in spirit, not by trade. We don’t ask for anything other than one’s honesty and trust. A man’s self-worth is measured by his heart, not by what he rides, what he owns or how fat his wallet is.
There are those who would portray us as gang members, criminals, racists, domestic terrorists, etc. We are nothing more than freedom loving Americans, and maybe some feel threatened by that concept.
The Gringo’s M.C. is not a support club, however, we take great pride in supporting all clubs and its brothers by banding together to fight discrimination, legislation and those who would challenge our civil liberties, our free spirit and our love of riding our motorcycles.
We like to have a fun and we front no attitude. Ride with respect for those that do and come on out and hang with us.
